Gushi — Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Gushi is an audio bedtime-stories app operated by Space Noodle LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). We respect the privacy of caregivers and children who use the app.

2. Scope

This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Gushi, you agree to this policy.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect or require the following from the app:

  • Names, phone numbers, postal addresses, or payment card numbers
  • Advertising identifiers or precise location data
  • voice recordings, or contacts
  • Network data (e.g., IP address): our servers and service providers may receive an IP address as part of standard internet communications. We do not use IP addresses to track individuals and we configure systems to minimize or anonymize this data where possible.

Note: Apple or Google may process payment and limited device data under their own terms. We do not receive your full payment details.

4. What we collect

We collect only the minimal information listed below, either de-identified or provided voluntarily:

a) App usage events

Examples: stories played, time in app, buttons tapped, crashes.

Purpose: improve stability, performance, and guide story and feature development

Retention: raw logs kept up to 30 days, then aggregated and de-identified

b) Favorites and settings

Examples: list of favorited stories, local preferences, playback settings

Purpose: personalize playback and show your favorites

Storage: saved with a random app-sync ID that rotates on reinstall and is not tied to a person or device

c) Optional contact information

If you submit feedback or a bug report and include an email address

Purpose: respond to your message

Retention: deleted within 90 days after the ticket is closed or earlier upon request

d) Optional Photos)

If you upload a photo while creating a playlist.

Purpose: personalize your playlists. Photos are only displayed to you and not shared with anyone else.

Retention: we keep them up to 30 days after playlist deletion, then delete.

5. How we use information

We use collected information only to:

  1. Provide and personalize core features (favorites, playback, playlists)
  2. Maintain app reliability and security (diagnostics and fraud prevention)
  3. Analyze aggregated, de-identified usage data to improve and develop new stories and app features
  4. Respond to your messages when you voluntarily provide an email address

We do not use any data for targeted advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law (e.g., CCPA/CPRA).

6. Children’s privacy (COPPA and similar laws)

Gushi is designed for use by children under caregiver supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The only contact data we receive is an adult’s email if an adult voluntarily provides it for feedback.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us through https://gushi.spacenoodle.ai/support and we will delete it promptly.

7. Subscriptions and purchases

Pricing is shown in-app:

  • Free: Access to one or two stories
  • Premium Monthly: auto-renewing monthly subscription
  • Premium Annual: auto-renewing annual subscription
  • Premium Lifetime: one-time purchase (“lifetime” means the life of the Gushi app for as long as we make it available; a limited number of purchases may be grandfathered)

Processor: We use RevenueCat to securely manage subscription status and receipts. RevenueCat receives purchase receipts/tokens and an app user ID in order to verify entitlements across devices. RevenueCat is our data processor for this purpose and processes end-user information only on our instructions. see RevenueCat Privacy, RevenueCat GDPR, RevenueCat Security & Compliance

Payments are processed by the App Store and are subject to their terms and privacy policies.

8. Third-Party Services

We do not use third-party advertising or third-party analytics SDKs in the app. Our limited service providers are contractually restricted to use data only to provide their services to us.

  • RevenueCat (subscriptions): processes purchase receipts/tokens, product identifiers, and a Gushi anonymized app user ID to manage entitlements. The RevenueCat SDK uses annonymous app userIds.

If we add any new provider, we will update this section before use.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—including encrypted transport (TLS) and access controls—to protect data.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Choices

  • Reset data: In Settings → Reset App Data, you can clear favorites and local history.
  • Analytics opt-out: In Settings, you can turn off sharing of anonymous usage events; core features will still function.
  • Email removal: If you provided an email in feedback, request deletion through https://gushi.spacenoodle.ai/support and we will delete it promptly.

11. Regional Notices

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, delete, or correct your information.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features, analytics improvements, or legal requirements.

We will post the updated policy in-app and on our website and display a notice inside the app for material changes.

Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
